What we do About us News Schoolchildren from Aberdeenshire raise funds for SBS Two philanthropic young schoolchildren, brother and sister Emlyn and Gwen from Aberdeenshire, are fundraising for SBS -by selling their hens' eggs to their Mums' work colleagues Mum Jane Tomkinson told us "We have been selling our excess hen and duck eggs at my work. The children select the charity for the proceeds every year. This year we asked my colleagues for charity ideas and then the children selected SongBird Survival from the list of ideas. They have designed an egg box label and sales are going fantastically, with far more demand than supply. I can’t be sure how much will be raised, but last year they donated £120 to their chosen charity" The children have already donated £40 so far this year - a big thank you and well done Emlyn and Gwen for all your hard work and commitment - the songbirds will be very grateful as are we all here at SBS headquarters! We always love to hear about your fundraising efforts- contact us by email at [email protected] or give us a call here at the office on 01379 641715 and tell us what you've been doing!
