Leave a lasting legacy
Help us improve biodiversity for our children and grandchildren
After you have taken care of your family and friends, please consider remembering SongBird Survival in your will
Every legacy, large or small, is important to us and a gift in your will help us to continue our vital research
Your gift will help to:
commission scientific research into the causes of songbird decline
advance public education in the science of ornithology and in particular the study of song and other small birds
promote conservation of natural and semi-natural habitats and the restoration of habitats in which song and other small birds live
Every gift received will help make a crucial contribution to our important work.
If you would like to dedicate your gift to a particular project, please get in contact with us to discuss your requirements.
For example, £20,000 could be used in many ways to help further our aim to help song and other small birds in the UK. This amount could either:
Help fund our research programme. £20,000 would fully fund one of our current studentships for up to 18 months.
Fully fund the cost of attending shows and events throughout the country for 2 full years.
Guarantee the essential services of 2 part-time members of staff for a full year

Online Will writing services
We have partnered with makeawillonline.co.uk, to offer a free solicitor checked online wills service for our members: www.makeawillonline.co.uk/songbirdsurvival. All wills are checked by a qualified solicitor.
To help us with our campaign, the details of your gift will be shared with us: your name, your contact details, the amount of any gift and the date you made the will. We may contact you to thank you, and to keep you updated with information about us and how your gift will help the future of songbirds.
You can make a will and leave a legacy to us without sharing this information by paying for the will directly yourself
Did you know that people who leave more than 10% of their estate to charity receive inheritance tax benefits?
If your estate is liable for inheritance tax (see here), we suggest you speak to your solicitor to discuss making a will and leaving a gift to us. If you don't have a solicitor, click here to find a solicitor local to you
SBS also offers In Memory Schemes and you can even set up a personalised online fundraising and memories page.
