We are hiring - Trusts & Foundations Fundraising Manager

Human activity is destroying the natural world and as a result more than half of UK songbirds are threatened or already in decline. Do you want to join us in changing the future for UK songbirds?!

SongBird Survival (SBS) is a science-led organisation that commissions and funds high quality scientific research to identify the drivers behind songbird declines and influence conservation action.

We are looking for a Trusts and Foundations Manager to join this small but mighty, and incredibly passionate, team! 

 

The Role 

As Trusts and Foundations Manager you will be responsible for leading and developing the strategy for Charitable Trusts and Corporate Foundations for SBS. Duties will include:

·        Reviewing the existing support from Trusts and Foundations and building on thee stablished          programme.

·        Creating a strategic annual programme of applications and building long term, multi-year          partnerships with Trusts and Foundations.

·        Account managing and stewarding Trusts relationships, demonstrating impact and sharing the          work of SBS.

·        Reporting to existing funders on the projects they have funded and the impact they have made.

 

The Person 

To be considered for this role you should have a demonstrable track record of securing funds from charitable trusts and foundations. Experience of stewarding donors is essential, as is an ability to prepare reports for funders demonstrating the impact of their support. You should be a good communicator, with an ability to build relationships with ease and have a flair for creative writing. The team at SBS are passionate and hugely committed to this wonderful cause so you too should have an enthusiasm for wildlife and environmental issues.
