Backed with engaging graphics and an accessible format, the publication draws from a review of the scientific evidence led by Professor Paul Dolman (University of East Anglia) and Dr Alex Lees (Manchester Metropolitan University).
Within the report the state of the 84 UK breeding songbirds is outlined summarising the long-term changes conservation status and with a compilation of detailed statistics and trends1.
Nine interconnected threat areas (including habitat loss, disease, pollution and shifting food supply) are examined in detail, revealing both the evidence behind population declines and gaps where further understanding is urgently needed.
In response, SongBird Survival is accelerating efforts: funding new studies, strengthening advocacy, and shaping policy. But real change requires collective action.
This report is a rallying call - to researchers, potential partners, members of the public, to stand with us, support our work, speak up and take action.
