Heather’s work in the non-profit sector began with a fundraising consultancy where they enjoyed travelling the country, working with colleges and universities to run individual giving campaigns.
They moved from this role to a small charity that specialised in period poverty relief where they became a fundraising all-rounder, gaining experience in community fundraising, corporate partnerships, and events. Heather has always had a dream of working in conservation and is thrilled to now be a part of the SongBird Survival team. Based in County Durham, Heather enjoys spotting birds at their local nature reserve, with particular favourites being chaffinches and treecreepers. Alongside fundraising and birdwatching, they are a writer, avid reader, and mint tea drinker.
