Are you passionate about preserving the beauty and vitality of UK songbird populations? Do you have expertise in fundraising, communications, scientific research, ornithology, or ecology? If so, we invite you to consider joining our Board of Trustees at SongBird Survival and contribute to our vital mission.

At SongBird Survival, we are dedicated to safeguarding the diverse array of songbirds that grace our countryside, gardens and skies. Founded in 2000, our charity has been at the forefront of efforts to raise awareness about declining songbird populations and to develop evidence-based solutions to reverse this trend.

As a trustee, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of our charity and ensuring that our initiatives deliver meaningful impact for UK songbird conservation. This is an exciting time to join us. Our scientific research is uncovering both the causes of songbird decline - and the solutions. With a new research programme underway, growing public engagement, and campaigns turning evidence into action, we’re building real momentum.

A strategy refresh in 2026 and a renewed focus on partnership development means your expertise can help turn this momentum into lasting change. We’re ready to welcome new voices into the leadership of our work - and we’d love yours to be one of them.

We’re looking for Trustees who:

·       share our passion for our mission and the work we do

·       will bring new and challenging perspectives to our charity

·       can act as an ambassador for our charity and our community.

We are committed to promoting diversity within our board to foster better decision-making and effectiveness. We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, particularly younger candidates, and those with expertise in fundraising, communications, scientific research, ornithology, or ecology.
